Learning Disability Assessment

Fresh Pond Neuropsychology provides comprehensive evaluations for students and adults seeking academic accommodations in high school, college, graduate school, professional programs, and standardized testing settings due to learning differences. These evaluations are designed to identify learning disabilities, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other cognitive factors that may impact academic performance.

Common reasons for referral include:

  • Suspected learning differences in reading, writing, or mathematics

  • Attention and executive functioning difficulties

  • Academic underperformance despite strong effort

  • Documentation updates for existing accommodations

  • Accommodation requests for college, graduate, or professional school

Evaluations may also be used to support accommodation requests for high-stakes standardized examinations, including the LSAT, MCAT, GRE GMAT, Bar Examination, USMLE, or other professional licensing and certification examinations

Areas assessed may include:

  • Intellectual functioning

  • Academic achievement

  • Attention and concentration

  • Executive functioning

  • Learning and memory

  • Processing speed

  • Language abilities

  • Visual-spatial skills

  • Emotional and psychological functioning

Each evaluation includes a comprehensive clinical interview, administration of standardized measures, review of relevant records, and a detailed report that outlines diagnostic findings and, when appropriate, recommendations for accommodations.

Because accommodation-granting organizations make independent determinations regarding eligibility, an evaluation cannot guarantee that accommodations will be approved. However, our reports are designed to provide thorough, objective documentation that meets the standards commonly required by educational institutions and testing agencies.

Please note: Evaluations conducted for the purpose of identifying learning disabilities, documenting ADHD, or supporting requests for academic and testing accommodations are not covered by health insurance plans, as they are not considered medically necessary services. As a result, these evaluations are self-pay. Fees vary depending on the scope of the evaluation and the specific documentation requirements of the educational institution or testing agency. Please contact us for more information.

Whether you are applying to college, preparing for graduate school admissions, or seeking accommodations for a professional licensing examination, we can help determine whether learning differences, ADHD, or other cognitive condition is affecting your academic performance and provide comprehensive documentation when appropriate.
